Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. We do not keep a local log of those search terms.

An email may be retained long enough to answer it. Messages remain inside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

We neither compile nor sell a database of personal criminal records. Reasonable standard safeguards protect collected data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so a breach can never be ruled out completely.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Information identified as a minor's will be removed upon a valid request.
Your Data Rights
Wisconsin consumer protections, including Wis. Stat. § 100.18, may apply based on the facts and a user's location. The Wisconsin Public Records Law, Wis. Stat. §§ 19.31-19.39, governs public authorities rather than turning this private site into a records custodian. Wisconsin DOJ's collection and dissemination of official criminal-history data instead rests on Wis. Stat. §§ 165.83-165.84. At a minimum, a user may:
- Request a copy of personal data held about them
- Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
- Seek deletion of their personal information
- Decline certain forms of processing
